A Prayer for Life

Lord,
I want freedom and I want life. I see it in some of my dear friends who have found rest in you. Thank you that they are an encouragement to me, they reveal who you truly are and bring you the ultimate glory. I want this life. I want to live abundantly, with joy each day that you have blessed me with. It is my own stubborness, pride, self reighteousness, and lack of control over my thoughts to name a few that allows me to bask in my sin. I want to stay there because I don't want to rely on anyone (even you) but myself. If I've been doing this my whole life, why give in to you now? Well, last night I was downward spiraling into sinful thoughts of anger and bitterness. And I was drawn to your word.
I want to say thank you that you changed my heart in the midst of my sin. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23) Thank you that you came to give me life abundantly. (John 10:10) Thank you that you desire me to live as a free man and to only be a servant of God, not my sin. (1 Peter 2:16) Thank you that Christ has set me free, for freedom! (Galatians 5:1) Help me Lord to stand firm, to rest in your mercies for me, to rest in that you died not only to forgive me but to give me new life. Help me not to burden my self again with the yoke of slavery to my daily sin. Help me to choose you, to choose life each moment of my day today. Help me to know how fleeting my life is (psalm 39:4) and that I need to choose bow, today, in this moment to o ey you, repent and serve you joyfully.
May this be a testimony of your goodness and  ring your glory to many who are blind or are just weak. I pray specifically your work will encourage Isaiah and Paul, those who I love most deeply.
